Honda launches the third generation model of its popular sedan 'City,' in the forthcoming festive season. The new 'Honda City' comes with 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine and in three different versions with automatic and manual transmissions.

Unveiling the new 'Honda City' at a press conference here, HSCI President and CEO M. Takedagawa said 'Honda City' was the one of the most successful car brands in the country.

"With this launch, India will become the largest market for Honda City," he added. Prior to its launch in India, the new 'City' was introduced in Thailand.

Honda today launched the Eighth Generation Honda Accord in India, eight months after the global launch of the car.

The car would be available in three variants Accord 2.4, Accord 2.4 Elegance and Accord 2.4 Inspire, priced at Rs 16.49 lakh, Rs 16.79 lakh and Rs 17.39 lakh respectively (ex-showroom) in Delhi.

The new Accord comes with 80 mm more length and 25 mm more width with eight per cent improvement in fuel efficiency. It also has six airbags.
